Hoping you all have a great 4th of July celebration!  Since this coming weekend is the holidays, we will pickup the following Monday, July the 12th, giving everyone extra time to add a few groceries on the usual list or to get the most needed things for Austin Street Shelter listed below!  Also, if you have any old phones that still work and are not being used, those are always great to pass on, especially to the houseless folks, since they are very difficult to get without an address. (the shelters’ addresses being too much used for that) And yes, keep those vacation toiletries coming! Also one person had the great idea of collecting unused forks, spoons, etc that are wrapped and you get at the fast food places since the folks at the Shelter can use them…Please no individual unpackaged ones.

Any food for the food bank is great, (NO MEAT PLEASE) that does not require refrigeration, anything you yourself would eat, any dried, canned, bottled, boxed, etc. products.

Austin Street really, really, really would like:

  • New Floss #1
  • Fabric Softener
  • Dryer Sheets
  • T-shirts (all sizes ADULTS only)
  • Blankets

Secondary needs and still needing:

  • Sanitizing Wipes (must contain 60% alcohol)
  • Antibacterial Hand Soap (individual container or refill bottle)
  • Frozen breakfast foods
  • New, queen size air mattresses
  • Hairbrushes
  • Individual baby oil (keeps skin hydrated)
  • Reading glasses (all strengths)
  • New men’s belts
  • New, L-4XL underwear for men and women
  • Jeans (Men & Women’s new/gently used)
  • Shoes (for men and women), preferably tennis shoes and shower shoes
  • New, large bras
  • Unisex pull up Depends
  • Blankets
  • Poligrip

Please let us know by Sunday morning if you would like a pickup via text or email.  We will let you know via text on Sunday evening the 11th, what time we will be by to pick up.  Please forward this to any friends you may have anywhere in the metroplex to see if they would like to contribute as well.
