Ananda Texas has been a beacon of light in Texas for thirty years now. We are a small but vibrant community of yogis whose mission is to share the yoga teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. In the early 1920’s, Yogananda was the first Yoga Master to come to the West sharing meditation. He remained here until his passing in 1952. Since then, his spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi, has sold millions and was recommended by such luminaries as Steve Jobs and George Harrison. His message was simple, learn to meditate to develop a direct and deep connection with the Divine Within. Specifically, Yogananda brought the techniques of Kriya Yoga to the West, empowering spiritual aspirants in their unfoldment and deepening their relationship to God. Creating a community of support and outreach to share these teachings is what Ananda Texas has been doing all these years. That has expanded to include groups in Austin and Houston. Our new Sangha House is the primary gathering place for events, classes, and joyful sharing! During this fall fundraising campaign that runs through November and commences with North Texas Giving Day, we ask that you give generously to this source of inspiration. Our goal is to continue to share the love and joy of God with whomever comes to our doors and also to bring these teachings to younger generations who most need it, given our trying times. Your generosity guarantees that Ananda in Texas will continue to shine ever brighter!

Together in the light of sharing and abundance,
Ananda in Texas
