Join us on this Holy Saturday as we meditate in silent vigil, preparing ourselves inwardly through self offering and purification for the joy and renewal of the Christ Consciousness within us that Easter Sunday symbolizes. We will start with Energization followed by prayer, chanting and a twenty minute purification ritual. This beautiful ceremony created by Swami Kriyananda’s helps us open to divine grace to obtain purification from any particular trait, tendency or event that is causing an obstacle to our spiritual growth. It involves writing that quality or habit that we are seeking purification from on a piece of paper and burning it at the altar after praying with and receiving a blessing through the presiding Lightbearer minister.
We will meditate after that until noon. As always, you can quietly leave early or come late.
While it appears that we have ample parking all around us, we are wanting to be sensitive to our neighbors who own the adjacent parking lot. Therefore we ask that you do not park in the church lot. Please park in the following areas in the order below:
- Park in our driveway. Right or left sides are both fine, just not behind the garages and not in the first spaces closest to the building.
- Park PARALLEL on the street across from us but NOT into the grass on the grass. (inside tires can be on the grass about 12 inches, the rest on the street)
- Park in the lot on the far side of the grassy area across the street. (Behind the grassy area near the brick wall)
